Verifying a business vs. an individual
If you're signing up as a business, you'll verify both the company and the person responsible for the account. Here's how that works.

365 Agents works for both individual operators and registered businesses. The verification flow is slightly different for each.
If you're signing up as an individual
You'll verify your personal identity โ one ID, one selfie, 2 minutes, done.
Note: most 365 Agents use cases (especially anything involving text messaging) require a registered business entity, not just an individual. Check our Getting Started articles before signing up solo.
If you're signing up as a business
We verify two things:
The business entity itself โ its legal name, tax ID (EIN in the U.S.), and registration status
The person responsible for the account โ usually the owner, CEO, or authorized officer. This is the identity verification you complete with Stripe.
What we need for the business
Legal business name (exactly as registered with the government)
Employer Identification Number (EIN) or equivalent in your country
Business address
Business phone number
Industry category
Short description of what your AI agent will be doing
What we need for you personally
One government-issued photo ID
A selfie
A home address (can be different from the business address)
Common scenarios
You're the sole owner and operator. Standard flow โ verify the business, verify yourself. Easy.
You're the marketing manager; the CEO is separate. Either person can complete verification, as long as they're authorized to bind the company. Make sure whoever completes the selfie actually has that authority.
You're an agency setting this up for a client. The client's authorized representative must complete verification โ not you, not your agency. This is a hard rule set by the carriers, not by us.
You have multiple businesses. Each business entity needs its own verification. We can help you manage multiple businesses under one parent account โ reach out for guidance.
What happens if ownership changes
If the authorized representative for the business changes, let us know. We'll need to re-verify the new person so the identity on file matches who's actually running things. This keeps everyone compliant and prevents any issues if the carriers audit.
