Webex Calling is Cisco's cloud phone platform, and it has one of the cleanest forwarding UIs of any system. You can set it from a web page or dial it from your phone.
Heads up before you start
•You need a Webex Calling license. If you see Webex meetings and messaging but no Calling option under Settings, you don't have calling — ask your admin.
•Webex lets you forward on different conditions: always, on busy, on no answer, or when the network is disconnected. Pick the one that fits.
Step-by-step (web portal)
•Go to user.webex.com and sign in.
•Click Settings → Calling → Call settings.
•Scroll to the Call forwarding section and turn on the toggle.
•Pick one of the four forwarding conditions:
Forward all calls — route every incoming call to your AI agent
Forward when busy — only when your Webex line is on another call
Forward when unanswered — after a set number of rings (you choose how many)
Forward when not reachable — when your Webex phone is disconnected due to a power or internet outage
•Enter the 365 Agents number we assigned you in the destination field.
•Click Save.
Forwarding from any Webex phone using star codes
Webex supports feature access codes (FACs, also called star codes) directly from any Webex-registered phone or app. The main ones:
Forward all calls (on):
*72+ destination number +#Forward all calls (off):
*73Forward on busy (on):
*90+ destination +#Forward on busy (off):
*91Forward on no answer (on):
*92+ destination +#Forward on no answer (off):
*93
For the full star-code table including selective forwarding, call park, and voicemail access, see our BroadSoft star-code reference article — Webex uses the same codes as most BroadSoft-powered carriers.
To turn forwarding off
Flip the toggle in User Hub, or dial the "off" star code for the rule you turned on (*73, *91, *93).
Your forwarding destination
Your forwarding destination is the 365 Agents number we assigned you during setup. You'll find it in your dashboard under Numbers.
