Adding texting to an existing business number
You can add SMS to a number you already use for voice without moving it away from your current phone provider.

If you have an existing business number with another phone provider and you want to add texting through 365 Agents, you don't need to port the whole number. You can keep voice where it is and add a "messaging lane" on top.
How it works
Voice calls continue to route through your current provider
We add text messaging capability to the same number
Your business can now send and receive text messages from the number your customers already know
What we need
A letter of authorization (LOA) — we provide the template
Business verification (same as any other messaging onboarding)
Confirmation from your current voice provider that they allow texting to be hosted elsewhere (most do; a few don't — we'll check)
What you should know
You still need to register your brand and campaign, just like for any other number
Only one provider can have the "messaging lane" on a number at a time — we can move it from another texting provider if needed
Why this matters
This is a great option for businesses with an established phone number that they don't want to move, but they do want to start offering text. Customers call the same number they always have, and now they can also text it.
